Happy New Year!!! 🎉😘
The new year is bringing a few changes to the blog, not only in appearance but in content as well.
You may be seeing a few guest posts from my hubs in the future, so make sure you keep a look out for those!
We are also making some changes to our family.
Do any of you do resolutions?
If so, do you find you usually keep them, or despite your good intentions, you find yourself disappointing, well, yourself within a month or week…or even a few days?
As for myself, I don’t make New Year’s resolutions mostly for the latter reason.
But this year is different.
I’m not calling them resolutions, but I am setting some goals for myself and for my hubs this new year.
See, Lord willing, I’ll turn 30 in September.
There are certain things I want to have accomplished by that date a little over nine months from now.
I am aware that it may not be possible for some things to be completed, and that’s okay. As long as I’m a lot closer than I am today, I’ll be satisfied.
I’m really looking forward to 2014!
I’m excited to see what God may do for us as a family, us as a church, and us as His children.
Who knows what He may choose to allow in our lives?! Good or seemingly bad, it will all bring glory to Him…and isn’t that the most important thing anyway?
This may be the year the very thing you’ve prayed and prayed for comes to pass.
Don’t give up!
Keep praying!
Who knows? This may be the year Jesus comes again!! Wouldn’t that be wonderful?!
Heaven will certainly take care of it all: hurt, heartache, unfulfilled dreams. None of that will matter when we see Jesus!
What a day, glorious day that will be!! ❤️
No matter what 2014 holds, Jesus will be there.
He’ll be there to comfort us, protect us, guide us, sorrow with us, and rejoice with us.
Here is my verse for the year and a promise I can cling to:
“And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.” ~Deuteronomy 31:8
This is one of those “great and precious promises” God’s Word refers to, and I’m laying hold on it for this year.
I challenge you to find a promise that will be “yours” for this year.
Again, I hope you all have a wonderful time celebrating this new year with people you love!!
